Some Fresh New September Classes

With the kids back in school, it seems we're all trying to get back insynch with our schedules now.  Here are some fresh new classes at the Yap this coming this first week in September, and we promise, there's no homework involved!

THIS FRIDAY NIGHT - Sept 5th 6PM - 8PM - Quickutz Club by Karina Gutierrez

This is our monthly club meeting, new comers are ALWAYS welcome, where all memebers get a free die at each meeting and a make and take designed by our wonderful Karina.  If you haven't already joined, what are you waiting for??  $12 per month. 

Sat - Sept 6th 10:30-12:30pm - Happy Halloweeny Interactive Class by Michele Candelaria

Here's a sneak peek of this SUPER adorable interactive layout you'll be making in class using the latest and greatest Halloween line from Imaginesce.  Plan on bringing 5-6 portrait (vertical) pictures with you to class if you want to leave with a completed layout.  But of course, you can always put your pictures in once you get home too. $23

Sun - Sept 7th 12:30 - 2:30pm - Jewelry is a Girl's Best Friend by Mykle Parker

And you thought patterned paper was just for scrapbooking?? You silly girl!! Come to this class to transform your traditional scrapping supplies into beautiful wearable jewelry designed by our very talented Mykle Parker. $30

New Basic Grey, Daisy D's and Chatterbox is Here!!

It feels just like Christmas with all the new stuff rolling in from the recent CHA show. 

First up is the much anticipated new lines from Basic Grey.  The lovely blues/yellows from OFFBEAT and the lovely orange/yellow/black/gray from AMBROSIA (it would be beautiful for Halloween, don't you think?)

You have to see all these PAINT DAUBERS and Adirondack ink pads by Ranger we just got in!!! What a beautiful rainbow medley of colors to choose from.

August 9th Open House Recap

If you weren't able to make it to our Open House 2 weekends ago on Sat, August 9th, you really missed out!! We had sooo much fun seeing what all the Designers created for the upcoming classes for the Sept and Oct calendar. 

It was also CRAZY busy because SOCAL SHOP HOP was going on too so alot of scrappers were coming through the store with their passports looking for the hidden golden coins throughout the store, picking up their TAKE and Makes (lol...since there just wasn't enough time to actually sit to make and then take them), and earning a chance to earn more fabulous scrappy prizes by choosing a bauble of their choice in our AMAZINGLY BLINGED OUT Treasure Chest created by our amazing Mykle.  Our Elizabeth Tuch, Scrap 'N Yap's owner, was amazingly generous with the prizes!!

Here's Mykle enjoying some cupcakes in her piratey garb.  Hmmm, what a comely wench you are....AYE!!!  And seriously, how AMAZING is this Treasure Chest that Mykle created??

Here are some pics of our regulars Sandra and Karen enjoying the Open House festivities.  And our Erna is just hilarious isn't she in her very sexy Pirate themed blinged out Tee which is available for sale at Scrap 'N Yap.  And speaking of sexy, check out Miss Elizabeth modeling how sleek this pirate themed blinged tee fits??

There are still a few more days for the SOCAL SHOP HOP (ends on August 24th!), so come on in 'cuz we have so much new product already in the store that was just released at the most recent CHA show.

We got the totally cute Mr. Campy & the new blackboard shaped mini books from Cosmo Cricket in too....check it out!

Are you exhausted yet??  Yeah, lots of new scrappy goodness huh??  Check out Teresa Collins new recipe and xmas lines!! She even has these adorable chipboard shaped books that are exactly the same size as those diecut pages.  So it makes it easy to make your own customized mini books.  And here you thought those diecut pages was just for your Bind It All??  That Teresa, she's a smart cookie!

Lastly, look at these gorgeous 7 gypsies papers and embellishments??  Fabulous for those heritage, vacation or masculine projects, no??

New Glitter Patterned Papers and Birthday Acrylic Stamps from Imaginesce

Look at what sweetness has showed up at Scrap 'N Yap today as I walked in to get ready to teach my Whatta Man double page layout class.  Karina was there finishing up with her card class featuring the papers and stamps from the All Kinds Of Happy Collection by Imaginisce.

We all know Karina's card classes are extremely popular, so if you missed out, you're actually in luck because all those sweet papers and stamps Karina featured in her card class are now available in the store.
 

Each of the patterned papers are

* double sided,

* have glitter accents on them,                     

* are of a 60 lb. cardstock weight. 
            

They're PERFECT for cards (as the students in Karina's class this afternoon discovered), and for layouts as well!

You gotta see the adorable birthday stamps that coordinate with this line of glitter paper too.

I could barely take these pictures because everyone was grabbing them before Elizabeth could even get everything out of the packaging!!
